Google Voice

Google recently announced it will release a preview of a service which will allow users to access their voicemail through a google account and even receive SMS transcription of the voicemail to their phone. It is an adaptation of an earlier service they acquired several years ago, called GrandCentral, which ties all your phone numbers and voiceboxes into one service. It will be interesting to see how this service is integrated into the G1 phone that was launched late last year.
